A STAR IS BORN!

Okay, as you know my blog is totally NOT about personal success of any measure....generally success is not interesting to the majority that don't enjoy it, usually exaggerated and decidedly not amusing.  But I must make an exception for my daughter Maeve.  Below are just a couple pics of her prom and graduation...better photos taken on better cams, but these were a couple from my phone.

I have to mention, she was awarded the  "class award" this past wednesday night.  This is like the "you are the best senior on the planet" award.  Pretty much every other award that night was for academic excellence (i know, that's important), but there is only ONE who epitomizes the HHS standards of "demonstrated outstanding dependability, sincere dedication, endless cooperation, and the spirit of self-sacrifice for the benefit of her class".   Honestly, this is like the best picture award of HS, BIG deal.  I am SO proud and take such joy in her.....

(back to my norm bog style...tom and I were in boston at a paul simon concert the night of the awards...tickets bought months before the awards ceremony...maeve went with friends...turned out to be tornados in MA that night, THAT is a more typical blog entry for me).

Anyway, photos below.

  1. Boy, if I knew this blog was going to be nothing but BRAGGING about SUCCESS and the FABULOUS graduates you know I would have stuck to ready World News Daily!

  2. At least with the World News Daily they write about people we care about!

  3. Indeed a star is born! Congratulations to all involved.

Yes, yes, but I know, what's with the bragging and the success? Must I go TJ's biker bar in Ashland to find people of my ilk these days?

  4. Jack - you are right, first rule of blogdom - know your audience. I'm going to go home tonight and see if Maeve has been texting with Anthony Weiner.

Cathy, you know we don't have to go to Assland to meet your ilk...if I recall, you ran into a good friend at Casey's Crossings right in Holliston...I believe he went by the name of Crowbar?
