The theme for the 5th wedding anniversary is wood (I know, easy joke there). In honor of that theme, I got my husband Tom a Quaking Aspen sapling. This is the very same tree that hangs over our dock in Vermont, the very SAME dock that we got married on. Sweet, right?

I am chalking this up as another one of my life's many disappointments vs. an omen regarding the health of my marriage.
